Sightseeing places during the tour: Kaunas Castle, St. George's Church, Catholic Seminary, City Hall Square, Jesuit's Church and Monastery, Holy Trinity Church, Old Post Office, Archicathedral Basilica, Vytautas Church, Thunder House, Vilniaus Street, Laisves Avenue, monument to Vytautas the Great, Vienybes Square. • Duration - 2 h • 15 Eur per person • 15 persons group (min) • Guide service, tickets to museums and transportation are included |
Excursion to Vilnius (1 day) - Dates: June 6, 2015 and June 7, 2015
Departure form Kaunas at 9 am. On the way to Vilnius we will visit Trakai. This town, famous for its picturesque landscape and the legendary Trakai Castle, was a cradle of the Lithuanian statehood, and the capital of Lithuania. Short walking around Trakai castle with a guide, tasting Kibinas and lunch. Vilnius is one of the most frequently visited cities of Eastern Europe. It draws attention, not only because of its unique architectural character, but also by its cultural events and attractions. Main objects visited during sightseeing tour: Vilnius University, the Presidential Palace, Town Hall, the Gate of Dawn, Panoramic view of the Old Town, Church of St. Francis and St. Bernard, St. Ann's Church, 14th century defence towers and castles, the Cathedral, Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, King Mindaugas' bridge, the Opera and Ballet Theatre, the Green Bridge, the Municipality of the City, the Seimas: the Parliament of Lithuania, Gedimino Avenue. Excursion to Nida (2 days) - Date: June 6-7, 2015
Day 1 Departing from Kaunas at 9 a.m. The route to the seaside continous on the right bank of Nemunas river. We visit XVII century Raudondvaris estate, Veliuona and Seredzius mounds, XVI century Raudone castle. Lunch, getting to Rusne. Rusne - small town, located on the island (the only one in Lithuania), famous for its architectural and technical monuments: old fishing villages, fishermen Laukininkai Ethnographic Farmstead Museum, Rusne Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Catholic chapel. After visiting Rusne we depart to the trip by boat where you will find beautiful views of the Curonian Spit, Uostadvaris, you will also try delicious fish soup. After boat trip departing to Klaipeda, check in to the hotel, dinner. Day 2 After breakfast departing to the Klaipeda old tow tour. Ferry to the Curonian Spit. Shortly we come to Juodkrante, visiting Juodkrante parabolic dunes (42 m. of high), so called Witch Mountain, from where you can see Lagoon and beautiful Baltic Sea. After visiting Juodkrantė we arrive to Nida, visit Fisherman‘s Ethnographic Homestead, Memorial Museum of Thomas Mann, famous Parnidzio dune (52 m. high). In case of cancellation Conference Secretariat will strictly adhere to the following Cancellation/Refund Policy:
- Notification of cancellation must be submitted in writing to the Conference Secretariat
- The written cancellation must reach the Conference Secretariat before May 5, 2015 for a full refund less 20 Eur handling fee
- As of May 5, 2015 we cannot grant any refund for Cancellations
- Refund will be processed after the Course
